Amazingly sturdy and solid retro yellow rolling vintage industrial cantilever library shelf by estey. There are currently 16 shelves, 8 on each side, but the configuration is easily changed to fit whatever industrial-grade storage needs you have.
Estey is a family-owned company is based entirely in usa and have been in business since 1962. You can find out more about them here: https://esteyshelving.Com/our-company-history/.
The great advantage of them still being in business is that you can compliment this with many, many other storage solution they offer, and it will just fit together.
This shelf was salvaged from dupaul university in chicago. It seems they had a rough enough time to develop scoffs, paint discoloration, and minor rust. Luckily, the metal is heavy gauge, the folded metal is extra sturdy, and the shelves are structurally sound. We're not sure of exact kind of metal, but it's something with steel: in simple language, it's extra strong, and you can put magnets on it.
The shelves are brilliantly engineered. There is no extra hardware that's needed for installation: the parts fit, snap, and lock into place.
We installed fresh set of generously sized bright-red rolling casters, and also have an option of steel stationary adjustable footrest––just let us know which one you want.
There is also an option of 20 book holders that cleverly mount under the self.
