Vintage industrial "Hudson" drafting table by Keuffel and Esser CO.
All-wood: oak base, a thick wood top with warping-preventing edges – all sanded down and re-treated. Base was covered with teak oil, and the top was treated with osmo – a food-grade safe german-made finish that won't crack or peel.
The Keuffel and Esser CO., also known as K&E, was founded in 1867 by two german immigrants, William J.D. Keuffel and Herman Esser. It was the first american company to specialize in drafting instrument and supplies. That german quality and precision shows.
This four-legged table allows for ample space and storage. It's an older version featuring amazing craftsmanship, like dovetailed joints on drawers. Tilting works and is easily held in place with easy-to-use winged nuts. Original hardware knobs didn't make it to our days, but the new solution works. Dust cover is included.
Top is 36 by 60: plenty of work space. Table stands a little over 34 inches tall.
