Perch Drafting Stools By George Nelson And Robert Propst For Herman Miller

A vintage mid-century modern classic: authentic Herman miller perch drafting stool designed by George Nelson and Robert Propst in 1964. 4 are available: 2 in midnight blue, 2 in mustard yellow. These were manufactured in march of 2002. Production of these stools stopped in 2006, and these days they're highly sought after by collectors and displayed in museums.

These perch drafting stools are uniquely shaped and can be sat on in different positions. The stools are tall enough for either sitting or "Perching" — thus, the name. Seat height is slightly adjustable from 28 to 30 3/4 inches to the ground.

Each stool features a chrome-plated four-legged base, steel pole, hex-adjustable ring footrest, and smooth-rolling casters with bumper protection.

Stools are mechanically perfect. Minor scuff marks on chrome probably could be buffed off to perfection. Pu upholstery seems nearly pristine, especially considering the age.

Although slender in form, stools are pleasantly heavy and sturdy.
