Steampunk Acme Hair Dryer Floor Lamp

1940s vintage industrial freestanding art deco machine age Acme hairdryer repurposed into a floor lamp. Fabricated by the acme engineers of Minneapolis, Minn.

Wired up with 3 porcelain sockets. We managed to retain the original switch with that satisfying click to have all three lights on hot and med, one on low, and all off on-off.

The black paint has been stripped off. The electrical was complete vintage-looking grey-cloth wire and vintage-looking modern plug.

4-legged cast iron base. Original steel swivel casters. Slightly adjustable height with a spring-loaded stem. Adjustable tilt.
